About Me

My photo
Hi I'm Clare, I live in the South West of England in the seaside town of Torquay. I adore playing with inks, paints and generally getting messy. It is the calm place which fits in between my hectic life whilst working as an outreach support worker, looking after my son, daughter, foster son and hubby. Not forgetting our gorgeous springer spaniel, Suzi.

So now you have all the info let me share with you the project that I have made especially for this month.

Living in a seaside town it made perfect sense to go with what I know, the boat is my means of transport being that my husband is more often than not out bobbing around the deep blue in search of his next catch.

For my project I worked on a canvas board with Dina Wakely acrylics.  I added a little DecoArt crackle paint in areas for interest.

For my beach houses  and vessel I decided to collage using old French dictionary pages along with Tim Holtz distress Matt medium.

I doodled over my canvas with Posca paint pens and added some pearly dots using liquid pearls to create my fizzing ocean.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  Your comments are always great fully received.  Pop over to the Mixed Media challenge bloghttp://mixedmediamc.blogspot.com/2016/08/mixed-media-monthly-challenge-27-travel.html to submit your entries.  I can't wait to se them all.

Crafty hugs,

  2. Awesome. Love all the detail you've added. I've just done a journal page using book pages and flower stamps as I love the effect it gives.
