About Me

My photo
Hi I'm Clare, I live in the South West of England in the seaside town of Torquay. I adore playing with inks, paints and generally getting messy. It is the calm place which fits in between my hectic life whilst working as an outreach support worker, looking after my son, daughter, foster son and hubby. Not forgetting our gorgeous springer spaniel, Suzi.

Clare DT - Greatness

Happy Sunday Bloggers, it's my turn to blog for Bee Crafty. Today i am sharing with you a little something from the Inspired by Banksy collection. A couple of weeks ago I had a little play with some shaving foam to make some backgrounds.

To make this card i used:

Inspired by Banksy - Greatness words

Dylusion inks

Backdrop stamp - Crackle paint

Wink of stella pen

Shaving foam

The background was prepared in advance of stamping so that it was dry enough to enable stamping and heat embossing. I am hoping to do a step by step tutorial for this soon. I stamped the greatness words onto my background and heat embossed with clear powder.

I added some shimmer to my swirls using a wink of stella brush. The backdrop stamp was stamped onto some pink card to add another layer.

Thank you for popping over for a look today. If you have liked looking at my blog today remember to add yourself as a follower. I love to hear your comments so feel free to drop one below.

Clare DT - Banksy inspired, Balloon Girl

Happy sunny Sunday morning. It's me again with my Weekly Bee Crafty spot. This week I'm back with some more Banksy.

For this card i used:

Banksy inspired balloon girl

Backdrop stamp - Crackle paint

Backdrop stamp - Bubble wrap positive

Wordage - Dreams come true

Brushos

Inkables template - metalwork alpha

Distress inks

A wink of stella clear pen

Liquid pearls

Salt

I started off by covering the card in salt and carefully drawing a swirl in the salt, i also brushed away some of the salt and used some rock salt in random areas. After that i sprinkled the brushos and spritzed with water.

Once dry I removed the salt and stenciled in weathered wood the metalwork alpha mask. I stamped the balloon girl over the swirl and then the backdrop stamps in various different areas.

I stamped the sentiment in the corner and added some liquid pearls to the swirl. I added a little detail to the balloon girl using a wink of stella pen.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge : Crafting cafe April challenge Flights of Fancy

Clare DT - Fashionettes Rosie

Good day to you all. I'm here today with my Bee Crafty DT hat on to share with you the one of the newest fashionettes 'Rosie'. I dont often produce coloured images and being on holiday i had some extra time to play. I have also been busy in the sense of creating a new craft room. Hubby has decided that we need our dining room back so he has been busy in the cellar creating a room for me to craft. Im so excited, i have been taking photos so will post once its completed and i have moved in.

For this card I have used:

Fashionettes Rosie

Blooming beautiful sentiment from flower girl Abi

Inkables template - Alternative circles

Distress inks

This one was just a simple stamp and colour with pencils. I distressed the edge of the card with some fine sandpaper and then distress ink. I added some circles with distress inks through the inkables alternative circles and with a white pen added some doodling to the bubbles.

Thats it from me today. I am donning old clothes and a paint brush to give my new room a lick of paint so no crafting for me today but it will be worth it.

Happy crafting all.

Hugs,

Lemon and lime swirls with shaving foam

Hi bloggers I'm back again. Well with it being the holidays I've had a little more time to experiment and there was plenty of fun had whilst trying out my latest experiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge: Lavinia Stamps challenge # 4 Lemon and Lime

To make this card I started off with shaving foam and dripped my lemon and lime shades of dylusions into the shaving foam and swirled a pokey tool around to make my background. I made a selection of these. Some of which im sure will appear on here at another date.

I stamped using a selection of Lavinia stamps and coloured the main image using a twinkling h2o's and a wink of stella pen.

That's it from me today but i'll be back again soon with some more crafty mayhem.

Happy crafting,

For a special little boy

A good few weeks ago i had some wonderful news that there is a new little man born into our family! Of course one has to congratulate and card making was high on the list of priorities. My cousin and his lovely wife were overjoyed with the arrival of little Charlie, a new little brother for Eva.

I was lucky enough to visit the NEC, with the baby due and that in mind i picked up this lovely baby stamp from Hobbyart called 'Baby Washline' both cute and versatile for a boy or girl.

I kept it quite simple and stamped onto some Tim Holtz distress card and coloured in using Spectrum Noir pencils. I added some shimmer with a wink of stella pen and added glossy accents to the baby.

Unfortunately i've not been able to have a cuddle with Charlie but i am very much looking forward to meeting him and catching up with beautiful big sister.

Hopefully will blog again this week. Holiday time means time to play.

Happy crafting,

Clare DT - Believe

Good morning bloggers. I'm fresh back from my holiday in cornwall and back in just in time to write up my weekly blog for Bee Crafty. When i recently went to the NEC i picked up some of Bee Crafty's newest additions from the Alisa Kay Designs and thought i would have a little play.

For this card i used

Yueltide - Believe stamp

Banksy inspired - Hope

Alisa Kay designs - Astral asparagus

Alisa Kay designs - Meteroid Mushrooms

Backdrop Borders - Dandies

Distress inks

A wink of stella - clear pen

Distress pens

Liquid pearls

I started off by stamping the mushroom and asparagus and masking them off with masking fluid. After that a created the moon lit background using distress inks.

I stamped on the 'Believe' stamp, 'dandies' and 'Hope' using black ink. I removed the masking fluid and painted in the mushrooms and asparagus using distress inks and i highlighted them using my picket fence distress pen. To complete them i added some liquid pearls.

I used my seedless preserve distress pen to highlight around the images to make them pop and finally with my wink of stella pen i added some shimmer to Hope and the Believe sentiment.
