About Me

My photo
Hi I'm Clare, I live in the South West of England in the seaside town of Torquay. I adore playing with inks, paints and generally getting messy. It is the calm place which fits in between my hectic life whilst working as an outreach support worker, looking after my son, daughter, foster son and hubby. Not forgetting our gorgeous springer spaniel, Suzi.

Life in colour

Hello again, it is the weekend yay and I'm here with a little slice of Bee Crafty. It's a shame the weekend only lasts for 2 days I have so many ideas bubbling around at the moment and not enough time to put them onto card! Uber frustrating.

For this card I have used:

Wordage life & rain stamp

Distress inks

A clean and simple card from me this week. I used a circle template to blend the distress inks over each other. I love the way that they blend and create different shades.

I will be back next week with some more Bee Craftiness. I am hoping to make more time to play with some of the new stamps that are available.

Bee Crafty Love Birds

Hi it's me again with my usual Bee Crafty spot and I will be showing you some of the exciting new additions to the Bee Crafty collection. With Valentine's Day approaching Fluer and Freddie are cute little characters to use on your romantic makes also lending themselves to engagements, weddings or other occasions where a hint of romance is required.

For this card I used:

Fleur and Freddie love birds

Inkables Love template

Inkables heart template

Distress inks

Glossy accents

First of all I masked my card with the love template and then through one corner of the heart template I started to ink my heart using picked raspberry, worn lipstick and festive berries.

Then I stamped the love birds and heat embossed. I lifted some of the colour behind our happy couple using bleach and painted them using my distress inks. I stamped the hearts onto a separate piece of card, painted them and applied to the card.

I hope that you are all having a wonderful crafty time this weekend? Please feel free to leave a comment.

Happy crafting.

Say it with flowers.

Hi it's me again and I'm back with a little blog with something new that I have used this month. I took full advantage of Country View Crafts advent event and treated myself to some fresco chalk paints and Jofy stamps. With the new year being well and truly underway I thought it's about time I cracked them open and that's just what I did. I decided to decorate a door hanger for my mum's friends who have a cafe. I often stop by there for a coffee over the weekends and they are always spoiling us with cake and tasty treats so one good turn deserves another.

For this project I used:
Grunge paste
Fresco paints
Jofy stamps

I decided to stamp the cafe name on the reverse.

I would like to enter this into the following challenge:http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/happy-2015.html
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post. Please feel free to follow my blog and leave a comment below.

Happy crafting,

Bubbly Judith

Thank goodness it's the weekend! This week saw the launch of Dylusions new paints, boy am I excited! They are available at Bee Crafty to pre-order for the beginning of February. Yes I have already ordered mine and I can't wait to play!

Back to this weeks make I have chosen to use Judith from the FASHONettes stamps.

For this card I have used:

Fashionettes - Judith

Backdrop soapy bubbles

Backdrop Zebra

Wordage Life & rain (The word 'life')

Wordage Live with no excuses (The word 'love')

Distress inks

Promarkers

Embossing powders

I started of by stamping and heat embossing Judith (sounds painful) and then masking her so I could ink in a background of picked raspberry. Using a purple ink pad I stamped the bubbles and zebra backgrounds. Judith was coloured in using promarkers. In random areas of the bubbles I painted on some mica powders from my stash. I stamped the sentiments onto some coordinating card and cut out the words 'love' and 'life'.

Thank you for visiting today, have you all been crafting, buying crafty bits or are you all holding out for the new releases? I love to hear your thoughts and comments.

Happy crafting,

Hugs,

Looking beyond the imperfections!

Hi it's Clare here and I'm back with my weekly Bee Crafty blog. I've gone a bit banksy this week, have a look and see what happened.

For this card I used

Banksy inspired ghetto blaster stamp

Wordage being happy stamp

Backdrop soapy bubbles stamp

Inkables template metalwork alpha

Distress inks

First of all I stamped the soapy bubbles in a grey ink, then over the top I sponged through the stencil faded jeans and peacock feathers. The sentiment and ghetto boy was stamped with black ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped a mask of ghetto boy, cut it out and then stamped/masked him again in three different colours. To finish off I blended faded jeans around the outer edge of the card.

Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my blog, see you soon.

Happy crafting,

Happy New Year Bloggers

Happy new year to you all, I hope you have had an amazing christmas and enjoyed the New Years celebrations. I for one have enjoyed the rest and feel recharged from being off work. I could come close to say that I could quite get used to hibernation and happily shut myself away for another couple of weeks. Alas this is not to be as it is back to work for me on Monday. Boo!

Well on my return to blog land I bring with me my latest DT make for Bee Crafty.

For this card I used:

Inspired by davinci - science of beauty stamp

Inspired by davinci - Script stamp

Inkables mask - damask

Wordage stamp - joy is a flower

Distress inks

Promarkers

Flowers

I stamped the image first and did a second stamp on a post-it to make a mask. For the background I used bundled sage, through the Inkables mask I sponged iced spruce. The script stamp was stamped with antique photo. I then smugged antique photo around the outside of the card before matting and layering. I used some flowers from my stash but Bee Crafty have a great selection of flowers to choose from.

That's my first blog of 2015 with many more to come. Wishing you all an amazing crafty year!
