About Me

My photo
Hi I'm Clare, I live in the South West of England in the seaside town of Torquay. I adore playing with inks, paints and generally getting messy. It is the calm place which fits in between my hectic life whilst working as an outreach support worker, looking after my son, daughter, foster son and hubby. Not forgetting our gorgeous springer spaniel, Suzi.

Jumping for Jofy Joy!

Good evening all.  As you can tell, I am more than a little excited about my post this evening!  I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Paperartsy's newest release of Jofy stamps.

Jofy's new stamps are so delightfully, doodlicious I decided to use them all in my first project.

I started off with my gelli plate, printing a couple of masterboards for the flowers and leaves and also some deli papers for the frame.  I used Paperartsy Fresco acrylic paints:- Prawn, Tangerine twist & Butternut (from Tracy Scott's limited edition) & Egg plant along with some gold.

I stamped the flowers and leaves and patiently fussy cut them out so I could create my layered blooms.

Onto a cardboard frame I painted with Paperartsy fresco acrylic :- Nougat.  I applied some of the pieces of my printed deli paper with matt medium to the frame.  Some of the leaves were stamped directly onto the frame,  just to give me an idea of positioning.  Using all of my cut out blooms and foliage I adhered them to the frame.

Now I did seem to go from one extreme to the other for this next project but I only chose to use two stamps!  Onto a sheet that had been prepared with Sunset beach Infusions and Fresco Acrylic paint I stamped the leaf, multiple times and one of the large circle flowers to create a layered bloom.  Alert.... more fussy cutting!  I carefully arranged them onto a blank card so that the luscious petals of my bloom had plenty of layers.

Never throw anything away!  I'm sure that you don't?  I do love leftovers and I always try to be resourceful and utilise anything that gets left behind.  A piece of the Sunset Beach Infusions card was perfect for this little bookmark/tag

I added a little white doodling of my own and some pearly dots to embellish my tag.

Last but not least a few more of my crafty makes that I enjoyed experimenting with whilst playing with these gorgeous new stamps.  Remember to pop over to the Paperartsy blog for details of who will be stocking these yummy new designs.
