About Me

My photo
Hi I'm Clare, I live in the South West of England in the seaside town of Torquay. I adore playing with inks, paints and generally getting messy. It is the calm place which fits in between my hectic life whilst working as an outreach support worker, looking after my son, daughter, foster son and hubby. Not forgetting our gorgeous springer spaniel, Suzi.

Happy Mother'sDay 2018

It's Clare with you today and I've been playing with a couple of the Paperartsy mini sets this week to create a card ready for mother's day.

Using my brayer I built up layers of paint before reaching for my mini stamp sets to add in some details.  I stamped with JM

Onto some separate card, painted with the corresponding colours, I stamped the flower from JM59, cut out and coloured over the top using pencil crayons to add a little more colour to the bloom.

I printed my own mother's day greeting and attached to the card.  Using the flower stamp I stamped around the edge of my card blank to create a frame before placing the topper onto the card.

Using this cute little teddy from Magda Polakow, I created my second mother's day card along with Visible Image Ripple effect set.

On a gelli printed background I stamped on top using Distress Oxides and attached my cuddly buddy to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today?  I love to hear your thoughts and comments.

All you have to do is fly!

This week I have been playing with some stamps from Studio Light.

Working with Distress Oxides on the background I stamped Background stamp 182 onto my card.

I stencilled some diamonds onto the card using white acrylic paint.  I selected the part of the card that I wanted to use and die cut a tag.

Using a larger flourish stamp from my stash I stamped and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I edged the tag with some black acrylic paint, dried and applied some gold guilding wax.

The butterfly was stamped onto card and coloured with pencils.  I added some glue and fine glitter to the centre of the butterfly to give a more textured appearance.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you've enjoyed your visit?  Remember to pop back for some more inspiration soon.

Fresh & Flowery!

Howdy Bloggers, this week I have been working with a selection of Paperartsy stamps by Jofy along with some of their fabulous Fresco Acrylic paints.

Onto some card I blended a combination of Antartic, Teresa Green & Lake Wanaka Fresco acrylic paint, using a brayer.

Using stamps from Jofy's Paperartsy's 2018 release, Jofy 64JM58 & JM64 I stamped with corresponding colours onto the tag.  Using the small daisy from Jofy 64 I stamped with Versamark watermark ink and heat embossed with with embossing powder.

Onto some of the spare painted card I stamped one of the large flowers from Jofy 64, embossed with white embossing powder, fussy cut and assembled my tag.

Thank you for stopping by today,

Indigoblu - Stay Inspired

Hey guys, this week I have been stamping with these wonderful Indigoblu Stamps!  The
Big Butterfly is one of my favourite stamps .

On a plain MDF clipboard,  I picked up from a local store, I painted the clipboard with Paperartsy Fresco Acrylics: Amethyst, Bougainvillea & Chalk.  I stamped directly onto the clipboard using Indigoblu Big Butterfly & Tiny Backgrounds.  The inspiring sentiment came from  the Dreams come True set.

I stamped the large butterfly with versamark black ink, heat embossed with a frosted crystal embossing powder and glazed with some Paperartsy metallic glaze.I love that this has created extra texture on the butterfly.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today?

Happy crafting.

Divine Paperartsy Flowers

Happy Monday all! Clare here with you today sharing with you a tag made using another of Paperartsy's fabulous new release stamps!

Using Jofy set #59 & Jofy mini stamp JM58 I stamped onto card painted with Paperartsy Fresco acrylic coral paint using a mixture of inks and embossing powders.  I doodled on the flower & leaves using a mixture of gelli roll pens and a white Sharpie.  After fussy cutting I set to one side.

I stamped the sentiment onto some painted card and added some stitching to the outside edge, unpicking a few of the stitches.

I die cut a tag out of some cardboard packaging and distressed it by pulling off the top layer of paper in random areas.  With a dry brush and some chalk Paperartsy paint I brushed over the card, dried and was able to assemble the layers of my tag.

I truly hope you have enjoyed your visit to the today?  I'll be back next week with some more inspiration.

Happy crafting,

Clare

More From Paperartsy!

Good morning all!  I hope all is well with you today?  I've been playing with some yummy new stamps from Paperartsy, designed by Jo-Firth Young.  They are truly delightful!

For this Project I used Jofy set #64 #59Stencil PS081 along with Paperartsy Fresco paints Prawn, Butternut, Coral & Cheesecake.

I brayered a piece of card with the Prawn & butternut paint and stencilled on the leaves with the Cheesecake paint.

On another piece of card, painted with prawn & cheesecake, I stamped the bloom from set #64 and added some doodles and dots with white pen. I fussy cut out and set aside.  On a piece of textured cardstock I stamped the daisy doodle from set #59 to one side.  I mat and layered my card and assembled along with some dies, and added a little bit of string.

Thank you for stopping by today, if you are in the U.S. and you want to purchase these stamps they are available from Topflight Stamps!

Happy Crafting,

Clare.
