Home Alone

Good afternoon bloggers. What is a girl to do when faced with being home alone. The chores are done and it can only mean one thing! Craft o'clock.

I decided to have a go at an altered book cover. This is something I have never tried before, I haven't attended any workshops so go easy on me! I was a little apprehensive as I am a rather impatient crafter and looming in the back of my mind was the fact that this could all turn into a rather gooey mess.

For this project I used:

Diamonds mask

Tim Holtz visual artistry stamps

Tim Holtz hand written thoughts

TCW Art is stencil

Dylusions ink - Crushed grape

Paperartsy Fresco paint

Grunge paste

Bits of broken jewellery

Treasured gold guilding wax

Various die cut cogs and flourishes

I don't have a huge collection of embellishments so I raided my jewellery box to find out any broken necklaces and bracelets and took them apart to put on my project. I do have a little box which I fill up with beer caps and other little treasures thay may come in handy. It's nice to say that I have finally put them to some use.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges: The Craft Barn Weekly Challenge Diamonds and

That's Crafty Challenge Purple Passion
